General-

Named after the nearby Tahoka Lake, a natural spring-fed lake whose Indian name means "fresh or clear water".

The seat of Lynn County since 1903. Today, Tahoka is a cotton marketing and shipping point with several gins and compress.

Pioneer Museum-

Historical exhibits of early ranching days and pioneer mementos. Open Mon. - Thurs. 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. 1600 Lockwood.

Tahoka Daisy-

This lovely little flower was first discovered at Tahoka Lake. The lavender wild flower spreads over many plains to rival the bluebonnet (the Texas state flower) and wild verbena.
